Detroit Country Club is a Semi-Private, 36 hole golf facility located in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Detroit Country Club has two 18-hole golf courses, The Pine to Palm Course and The Lakeview Course.
The Pine to Palm Course at Detroit Country Club is the older of the two courses, having first opened for play in 1916 while the "new course," The Lakeview Course, first opened for play in 1980.
The rolling terrain and trees which line each fairway make the Pine to Palm Course (6,106 yards, par is 36-35-71) a challenging test of golf.

My Dad was the Golf course Superintendent 1964 to 1975 and this was the first time had played the course since 74. In the Pro Shop they said the last time the course looked this good was in 73 when my Dad was the Super.

I think this is a great golf course with an incredible history. It's a classic resort course layout built between two lakes in northern Minnesota. Playable by all levels of golfers and provides a challenge to the best. The footprint isn't real big so it can get tight ... and offer some fun risk reward choices. It will test your shot making ability of every hole. The greens and fairways are always in very nice condition and it has a very relaxed atmosphere ... but they keep things moving. If you haven't played it ... read up on some of the past tournament history before playing. Really a fun track.
